PHILOSOPHY
Starter Set Preschool & Child Development Center sprouted roots in September 1997.
The Center supports a play-based program, which children’s ideas and interests are incorporated carefully into a structured curriculum.
The Center’s program promotes the use of assorted materials for exploration, development, resources, and activities to provide children the opportunities to engage themselves to develop knowledge, build self-esteem and self-confidence.
No child is dispensable. We strongly support, accept, and encourage early intervention and inclusion into our program. However, there are times when a child will need a special program that better meets his/her needs for their success.
Our philosophy is based on play and on knowledge; children view the world around them differently than adults. To express what they see, feel or have options; children pretend, explore, use their imagination, and act out what they cannot express through words. Play develops physical, cognitive, emotional and social skills to become an independent, confident, and caring individual.
